Northwest Entomological Research Center Branding
Objective: Create a branding system for the Northwest Entomological Research Center (NWERC). 
 
Concept: NWERC had no branding system or logo in place, leading me to create everything from scratch. The system I envisioned utilizes the color gold, black and white photography, and a geometric logo. The color gold represents the warm quality of the sun, since the employees spend almost half of their time outdoors. The emphasis on black and white photography is to help organize the chaotic and overwhelming content displayed on their website, making it easier for visitors to read.The logo is derived from the lens of a microscope, the focusing and changing of the lens shutter pieces, and of the literal definition of insect, which is "to cut up or segment". 
 
Final collateral for the branding system included an envelope, letterhead, logo, business card, website, and apparel.
