My final project for my Photography 1 class was to pick a famous photographer and emulate his or her work. I chose Stephen Wilkes, who is famous for his Day to Night series.

For each location, I set up a camera and tripod and took over thirty pictures, then composited them together to show the passing of time. Although Wilkes takes fifteen to eighteen hours to photograph his locations, I only took half and hour to an hour (my favorite picture in the series, Jordan Hall, had its session cut short due to rain). In the same way, my editing is significantly less detailed than Wilkes; these things being said, I am very proud of this series, which shows the awesome beauty of Notre Dame's campus at all times of the day.
