This is a charcoal animation for my final assignment of Masha Ryskin's drawing class. We used William Kentridge's process of animation by first creating a drawing then alternating between editing and photographing the drawing. There's background SFX so headphones would be great.
// SYNOPSIS //
A penguin lives alone in a deserted igloo village. For as long as he could remember, his purpose in life has been to go outside and fish in the lake hole by his front door. However, the monotony of his day-to-day existence becomes shaken apart when a blizzard and earthquake tears through his world. Angry and frustrated, he begins on a journey of self-discovery and bumps into unwelcome revelations.
