me puppet: an interactive virtual performance
the following video is a brief compilation of a larger performance piece.
the entire piece lasted four consecutive hours, and these segments are pulled from the first two hours.
please note: the tone of viewers' interactions changed in the latter half of the performance, but this shift in behavior wasn't caught on camera because the 360fly camera died.

I chose to document in 360 because it allows the online viewer to feel present in the space while still being confined to my point-of-view.
the webcam I wore can always be seen, reminding the online viewer that they are seeing something different from the live viewer.
rules:
you (the viewer) can not touch me
only one viewer may interact with me at a time
you will wear the VR headset
you will see what I see
I will copy everything you do
I will say everything you say
begin a sentence with my name (krissy), and that sentence becomes a command
I will not repeat commands
I will not do everything you tell me to; I will shake my head if I am incapable of completing a command
I will tilt my head to the side if a command is unclear or I can not understand you
you may never turn away from me
you are in control

there is only one performer but there can be multiple viewers.
the performer wears the webcam on their forehead – the webcam should be facing foreward and is mimicking what the performer sees.

the VR streamer server sends this livefeed to the VR streamer app.
the iPhone, with the stream playing, should be situated in the VR headset.
a portable iPhone charger is connected to the iPhone and taped to the outside of the headset.
