We were asked to make two pieces exploring the dichotomy of our love and hate for a word of our choosing. I chose "health care" and created 2 pieces based on my experiences during my year of treatment for Aplastic Anemia from 2014-2015.
LOVE
"I love healthcare because it is a practice filled with passionate individuals and that continues to save lives every day, including my own."
HATE
"I hate healthcare because it can be a miserable and isolating experience, is often an expensive privilege reserved for those who can afford it, and the system can be cold and dehumanizing."
