My choosen products were the Johnons Baby bath and the Energizer batteries. 

 

The original Johnsons baby bath speaks to the mothers, in a caring, knowledgable manner as if they are saying “ we know what you are going through, but we are here for you” They are thinking about the mother and baby... creating an illusion of trust. 

The colours used are cool blue, warm pink and violet. Violet is the main base colour of the product.  

Violet is gentle, intelligent, Sensitive, trusting, royal, represents the future, the imagination and dreams, while spiritually calming the emotions, keeping us grounded because of its balanced colour pallete.

The effect of the tear drops are layered and transulcant creating more of a calming appearance. 

The curive text flows naturally and resembles a hand written font appearing very trustworthy and motherly. 

 

Energizer batteries colour pallete consists of a deep red, bright yellow, white and black. 

The overall appearance using a mixture of these colours, creating a glow effect and the texts being bold and captail letters, creates are very energetic, powerful, strong, sophistcated & confident packaging.  Making their product a trustworthy hardworking battery full of energy. 

 

Once I had swapped these product label signifiers around, the outcome was very interesting. The Baby bath became very aggressive, powerful & intimidating for the mothers to use.  No longer did it appear calming but now frighting.
