For this project, I had to create a collage that told a story about myself like hobbies, interests and such. I had to use Photoshop to edit the pictures. At least 4 pictures had to be taken by myself with one being a self-portrait. I had to make a minimum of 3 adjustments using Photoshop. At least 1 photo had to be black/white. And using the text tool i had to put my name and career major on the photo.

 

For the background i got a picture of a sunset in New York City because i lived in New York before moving to Oklahoma. On Google images i fond pictures of things like the logos for my favorite video games, bands, television shows and movies. I also got pictures of my favorite actors, musicians and favorite superheroes. In my free time i really don’t take a lot of pictures of myself or people so to fine the 4 pictures i took myself i had to search. I was able to find 3 pictures of my friends and family i could use. I got the idea to turn the pictures into trading cards so i found a card template and put my two best friends then my sister and her husband on them. I tried to find a good picture of me but most pictures were either blurry, taken by someone else or taken years ago when i was 9 or 10 so when i was walking to class i stopped to take a selfie to use for the project and emailed it to myself. I also found a picture of a shark and a picture of kittens because sharks and cats are my favorite animals.

 

For the adjustments i did there weren’t many. I spot healed the acne on my face, i adjusted the lighting settings on the picture of my friend, Preston because the photo of him was taken at night and was very dark and i made the picture of the shark bluer because it was also dark.

 

During this project i didn’t learn much than i already knew about Photoshop except the magnetic lasso tool, while it takes a little more time, is much more easier to use than the quick select. With the lasso you have more control of what gets selected.
