For our Senior Project, we were required to design 3 commercial spaces including Healthcare, Restaurant, and an Office. This is my Healthcare portion. At the top is the logo I designed for my surgery center. Below the logo are all the renderings including the reception, hallway (showing wayfinding), patient rooms, and the staff lounge area.
Inspired by water ripples, the new design of the space allows for patients and employees to complete the healing process by promoting different healing aspects like daylighting and a home-like atmosphere. The gradual and soothing qualities of the water ripple is reflected throughout the entire design by use of a clean, neutral color palette, providing easy and efficient wayfinding, and organic shapes of furniture and patterns. All materials and furniture selected is meant to meet the goals of the Aqua Surgery Center by providing safety and security for patients and staff, incorporating flexibility and adaptability, and accommodating all varieties of users. The overall design of this space gives the Aqua Surgery Center a healing space that will provide patients with a calm and relaxing area while also accommodating the staff with an efficient and flexible space flow and layout.
For the renderings I used a combination of Sketchup, Maxwell Render, and Photoshop. The floor plan was done using AutoCAD. All items in my space were actual products - see specifications at bottom.
