This project surrounds the mysticism and symbolism of protective gems, flowers and birds. Oftentimes, when starting a new chapter of life, one longs for a piece of home; for me, traveling between my parents’ home country of Taiwan and the States where I was born, I cling onto the memories of my youth, of embroidered scrolls with bird and floral motifs and my uncle giving my sister and I stones with regenerative and calming powers. Thus, the collection of prints is realized in apparel for both young girls and young women to protect them and accompany them in life
