I am drawn to the beauty of New Mexico, and through thunderstorms, open meadows and treacherous passes, it’s a place where you can truly understand the difference between loneliness and solitude.
I find myself continually returning for inspiration, clarity and solace. I start with no preconceived ideas because there is something special about creating work so personal that everyone can find a way to relate to it.
Shooting this type of project without help is tough. You get up before the sun to drink gas station coffee. There are no producers or assistants. There isn’t a team searching out perfect locations. 
The imagery for this project was created solely for the purpose of inspiration and love of the process. It felt nourishing from the beginning, and each photograph is more than a record of natural beauty. Within each image, is a quiet and introspective moment that reflects the solitude of the work that I’ve done over the years.
