In my work, I wanted to make an ad or a sign for a tailor shop.  I took an image with a suited man, increased the exposure since the suit was so dark and also increased the contrast. Then I extracted him from the background of the image and put it on a new document with the same dimensions as the original, but with a blue background similar to the suit color.  To keep with the theme of the tailor, I wanted a patterned background that mimicked a pattern common in clothing, so I chose herringbone. I then used the Reticulation filter under the Sketch filter gallery to make it look like clothing. I had to make the herringbone layer Multiply so that the suit below could show through. Then I put the name of the tailor, Manhood Tailor, on the image, using the best san serif font that I could find that I thought evoked "manhood" to me, and a sweeping, elaborate font for the word "tailor".  I centered the two words, and then put the words "from boys to men" to show who the tailor targets and what the tailor would help a young man transition to in his style.  At one point I accidentally added a gradient overlay, but I really liked it, so I kept it, using a blue that matched the blue in the pattern. I really like this finished product, and I think as a young, 21-year-old guy, I would be attracted to this tailor shop.
