These pieces are collaged images from my physical drawings and transformed into a different idea altogether, taking a 2D work and continuing on the same 2D plane.
22 x 30 : re-coded from an abstract self-portrait done in graphite ( drawing was made with Gina Zhang )
24 x 32 : taken from an ink drawing of different spaces around RISD, first exploration of the idea of writing as line that can add dimensionality to the drawing
75 x 47.5 : collaged from a master copy of Jenny Saville's "The Mothers" done in green colored pencil and graphite, experimenting with type vs. writing
