Streamlining the Word brochure
Focus: typesetting, typography, design
The project demanded taking unalterable copy and integrating typeface examples, as well as clean design in an allotted amount of pages, with restricted dimensions. The guidelines were intended to simulate working with a budget and a client with strict parameters.

My challenge was to stay within the expectations of the client, yet create an interesting and well-designed piece. To create a unique introductory page, I chose to create a rectangular die cut on the cover. This die cut is a window to the second page's text and also incorporates the title of the brochure. I used a limited color palette but chose magenta to highlight important text.

The piece is successful because there are a few unexpected design elements, yet it is not over-designed. It serves its purpose to the reader.
