A chapter opener for the short novel for young readers, 'The Shipwreck' by Jorn Riel, published by Barefoot Books. A young Viking boy learns the ways of the Inuits in ancient Greenland. I used my own experience of sledging with a dog team above the Arctic Circle to inspire this image.
