Inspiration:

 

I was trying someting new and I discovered the pen tool on Illustrator and I think to myself: "Why not draw something?"

These helmets from Daft Punk remember me of the Metal Heroes from Japanese series and I'm a "afficcionado" for helmets, armors in the "high tech" department.

 

Anyway, Fragments of Time is my first attempt to draw on illustrator without any previous sketch, on hand, digitally, etc. I've only used the Pen tool, Gradient tool, Shapes and a palette color from other artwork that I found on Pinterest (that I won't be posting here because this is plagiarism).

About the Artwork:

The colors I've decided to used (based on the fan art) was very simplistic and out of the "real" colors because is inspired on the 70's, much like Random Access Memories. The "Skyish" blue, neon (making the contrast with present and past), yellow gold, and violet, there's pieces of time (like the fragments of time) scattered on the artwork.

 

Using shapes and stretch forms helped me to find a balance between various forms and shapes to make a complete artwork in my vision. I'll be revisiting this piece in various moments because it can be used in other platforms and materials like shirts, stickers and other things.
