Is carrying around a "blankey" ever acceptable for an adult? During trials we search for places of comfort and revert to child-like ways. This wool security blanket, woven on an eight harness loom, is a self-portrait. It acts as a second skin to the wearer, shielding her from the emotional and physical cold, yet comes across as an apparel piece. Photographer, Matt Ritscher, (http://www.newhopephotography.com), beauty blogger/ hair stylist, Maddie Schewchuck (http://maddieshewchuk.com) and I collaborated on this photo-shoot.
