Beginning with a wine bottle with two plastic pieces attached to it at either end, I did a conceptual exploration of the object. Modeling it physically, in rhino, and doing several studies of it in charcoal represents the space the object takes up as well as possible ways the object could conceptually occupy the spae around it. See Shadow as a Measurable Volume as a continuation.
Comparing the differeces between a measured drawing in rhino to an observational perspectival charcoal drawing of a wine bottle with small plastic pieces attached at the top and bottom.
Variations of surface detail on the object, exploring multiple ways of representing a surface.
