Holographic signs
Based off of an observation I made one day when walking through New York City was that many pedestrians and vehicles lacked a way of communicating with each other. I decided to research future technologies to better address the problem of city signage. I found that holograms provided a great way to not only display a myriad of information and advertising, but also could act as a means of relaying information between vehicles and pedestrians.
Mission statement

Transportation is apart of every human beings daily life. In some way we have interacted with an object or system designed to move us. These objects range from cars, bycycles, walking, busing ect. Vehicles such as cars, buses, and trains are designed to keep their passengers safe with the implication of stronger, lighter materials such as airbags and breaking sensors. Side walks and bike lanes have been erected to displace humans from the road for their safety.  However these improvements for the protection of humans have only addresses the objects of transportation, not the overall system in which it operates on.

In 2014 it was reported by the IRTAD international report that more than thirty thousand road fatalities occured in this year. This report does not take into account any instances of injury, only death. The fatality rate has increased consitantly for the past 6 years. People have been driving at an increased rate of 4 % every year, as well. The car industry has addressed this demand for safety by drastically improving their vehicles safety features. They also have improved the speed and handling of the yearly model realeases.

I plan to address thetradtional road  relying on an outdated signaling system. This system can greatly improve the way we drive as well as decrease the fatality rate in the United States. I will use the implimentation of sensor technology in combination with the idea of signaling and data collection. These smart signals that i will create will have sensors on them to provide direct awarenees to the driver and the vehicle. The system will learn through data collection, on how to better traffic situations and also alert for help when it is needed. This new signialing system will be implimented into the road as well allowing for bikers to share there riding experience with cars. It is projected that by the early years of 2020, sensors will be documenting everything from light , tempature to even biohazard. Through sensor data collection I will improve that quality and safety of the transportation infastructure.
