For this project, we were tasked with making a type of handbook (or any printed document, really) that could clearly explain the basics of typography, as if we were teaching it to first year students. I chose to keep it as simple as possible with one type of paper, a sewn binding, and a clear, sans serif typeface for the main text. I really enjoyed the process of making the essential information clear enough for people outside of the field (or at the very beginning of their careers) to understand while still making it somewhat entertaining to read.
