The exercise was to recreate the entire alphabet relying only on the Olivetti logotype.
This specific logotype was created by Swiss graphic designer Walter Ballmer in 1971; it has some new features compared to the previous ones, that we tried to maintain in the drawing of every letter.
The Olivetti logotype attains its cohesiveness from the compact packing of the eight letters, with their small ascenders of equal length.
The radiused corners of the lowercase characters renders a more playful and approachable visual aspect.

Partendo dal logotìpo Olivetti, l'esercizio richiedeva la creazione dell'intero logoalfabeto.
Il logotìpo in questione fu disegnato nel 1971 dallo svizzero Walter Ballmer; esso possedeva delle caratteristiche nuove rispetto ai precedenti, che abbiamo cercato di mantenere nella creazione di ogni carattere: solidità senza durezza, pienezza ma non staticità.
Gli angoli arrotondati significano facilitazione ed angoli arrotondati su spessori ricchi dicono insieme agio e forza.
