Following the style of old Serbian Moravian style of houses, the project required to design of a house for the family of four in a small Serbian town of Ljig. The plot is in long-term family ownership. On the plot, other then a small garden, there was an old brick house, now reduced to ruin. This created the possibility not only to build a new house, but to use the ruins to create a sense of history and connection for the family.  The owner wanted to build a new house in a similar style, big enough for the whole family, while the collapsed parts of the old house were to be left as a kind of family monument.

The old house was located in the depths of the plot, while the front part was once used as a garden. The chosen solution for decorating the walls of the old house predicts structural strengthening and preservation, as well as creating a new garden within them with wooden platforms that can be used for family leisure.
