This short promo showcases our fantastic polecam jib with up to 14ft of reach. It's rigged and repositioned far more easily than a full sized jimmy jib, and with it's hot head and small footprint can offer impressive low developing shots as well as traditional high crane shots. Forget the track and dolly, or the slider - the polecam covers all that and more!

Stef Otto has been operating the polecam for more than 4 years, and offers it as an add on to a normal filming day on a main camera or as a standalone hire as polecam operator. 

 

This footage was shot with a Canon 5D Mark III which has been cut directly alongside footage shot with Sony F55s, PDW700s, PMW500s, FS7s etc. It's set up in 15 mins and adds real production value to any shoot. We've recently upgraded the camera to a Sony A7sii which allows on board full HD recording to SDXC cards in the XAVC format. 

The polecam packs into a pelicase on wheels and its been wheeled, dragged and carried into studios, along cliff paths, up mountains and into caves. There aren't many places it can't go!

 

The Polecam rig allows wireless remote control of all Sony A7sii camera controls, and a full uncompressed HD wireless link to a director's monitor so no more craning of necks behind the Polecam operator to see what he's doing!

The Polecam has been used on a wide range of TV programmes for most  broadcasters. Recent broadcast productions for the Polecam include Watchdog (Rogue Traders), Countryfile, Coast, Chelsea Flower Show, Gardener's World, Britain's Big Wildlife Revival for the BBC and Love Your Garden for ITV.
