Unmasking the Truth About Mascara
The goal of this project was to choose a household object and research its entire life cycle (cradle to grave). I chose an object that I use and interact with every day: mascara. I had some inkling that mascara was not exactly eco-friendly or particularly great to coat my eyelashes on the daily, but I was unprepared for just how damaging the effects of mascara can be.
This book measures about 4.75" x 5.5", printed on watercolor paper, and is typset in National and Ideal Sans. All illustrations are hand-drawn.
