Perhaps you’ve heard it before, and it’s true. Designers are visual animals.
Although I was born and raised in China, I moved to Michigan when I was seventeen. My bilingual background and my desire to craft a visually engaging learning experience are my inspirations for this book. Industrial designs are, for the most part, problem driven. The majority of bilingual flashcards I have seen in the market lack phonetic symbols to aid pronunciation and are rather bland. I want to make something easier to use, easier to remember and more visually pleasing.
As a designer, teacher and perpetual student, I want to create a learning experience that will touch your heart as well as your mind. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much I enjoyed making it.
