Designing an educational toy inspired by Friedrich Fröbel's Kindergarten Pedagogy.
Fröbel's educational philosophy is based on the ideas of play as an engine of real learning, and of humans as creative beings. His toys and intended to stimulate creativity and allow each child to play with them as they are individually inclined, allowing an observer to see the what makes the child unique.
The piece I designed was intended to be spatially and graphically engaging, with pleasing tactile qualities and numerous possibilities for play.
