software used: Blender, Illustrator, Photoshop
explanation:
The mundane avocado is reimagined in my latest graphic design project. This fat bomb comes equipped with facts and recipes to help buyers fight the war on obesity. The unique packaging was designed using Blender and then 3D printed. The logo was laser cut and attached to a key chain to further push the look of a hand grenade. The contrast between a war-like bomb and the soft, friendly avocado sparks an interest in consumers making the overall experience both playful and informational.

inspiration:
Upon arriving back at school after winter break, I decided to experiment with cutting out carbs from my diet. While researching what to eat, I came across a few websites containing “fat bomb” recipes and the incredible health benefits that come from consuming monounsaturated fat. The term "fat bomb" led me to think about the avocado's grenade-like shape and how I could package it in a revolutionary way to get people interested in nutrition and uses of this special berry.

challenges:
This project was a HUGE accomplishment for me. Much of the time spent on this project went into concept development which left me with very little to actually produce the packaging. With the guidance from many monotone male YouTubers, I taught myself how to use 3D modeling software (Blender) and the laser cutter in less than a week to successfully create and print the Grenado.
