This line of three looks was created with the goal of marrying the softness of fabric with the rigidity of metal. Inspiration was largely drawn from ancient armor. Panels on the cardigan were etched using ferric chloride with patterns taken from circuit boards. This juxtaposed the ancient with the modern. 
 
Over 1500 copper pieces were cut, drilled, folded, and affixed to both garments. 
 
This project was a collaboration. Soft clothing was made by Sade Butt, metal clothing was made by me.
