La Petite Ceinture, over the years has acted as a strip of wildlife that has stirred curiosity among many of the Parisian people. Path to Play is a project that focuses on the nature of play as a design proposal for La Petite Ceinture. Play, in this project, is used as tools to not only educate children about nature, but bridge social gaps through an engaging experience.
Precedents and personal observations of play constructed a tactic for programming the space. The space is specifically designed for children 5 to 13 years of age, in mind, that an adult would be accompanying them to the space. One of the priorities of the project was to consciously design for various age perspectives.
The project is designed with young children as the main focus, but there are moments in the plan that show areas for relaxation or seating that as an adult would also allow he/she/them to have a visual on their child at play.
Play, integrate, and join the community.
