Luz Algodon diffuses light through a naturally textured cotton composite. The shade and stand remain biodegradable while the use of a modular pendant style lighting fixture allows for its re-use in other lighting projects.The texture is derived from the organic cotton fibers creating a different texture when on or off. The form of the lamp came from experiments using a vacuum former to pull material over hollow cylinders/ tubes
