INTERIOR TEXTILES: REFLECTIVE PANELS

The panel was inspired by the reflections of architectural surfaces (e.g. aluminum, metal, glass window) of contemporary buildings in Bangkok and colored mirrors in Thai temples. Thermal bubble roll is manipulated through cutting, peeling and inserting wires to form a relief from the two dimensional sheet. Colored lame fabric pieces were attached strategically so that the reflected colors shift from top to bottom and side to side as the viewer observes the panel. It is intended for interior use or public spaces.
The simple modular system allows multiple replacements of colors that can alter the patterns. Therefore, the plain panels have the opportunity to be interactive as people can use any colors and placements to construct their own reflective patterns.
Thank you!
