Genevieve Marsh's profile

Center for Sciences, Fine and Culinary Arts

This mixed-use maker space concept for the City of Providence experiments with building code to address pressing social and environmental issues in downtown. We strove to relate building systems and structure with city goals while specifying regional materials and local labor.

The resulting building design has 3 floors of enclosed workspace, a public rooftop park and an open ground level gallery. Equipped with a water reclamation system and solar array, the building would supply 55 days a year of water and 44MW of power.
