Fregi, a celebration book for Bodoni Ornaments
Giambattista Bodoni started to make a book called Manuale Tiprografico, upon passing away his wife published this book in 1818. This book contains many typefaces, decorations and more.
Under the title 'Fregi' which translates to friezes in english, there was many decorative items, these flowers and other such patterns have been made into the font Bodoni Ornaments.
Fregi is a celebration book for the font Bodoni Ornaments based upon the theme of 'frieze' which is a decorative border normally placed at the top of a wall. I have made the book to be a concertina which allows you to view the pages either by double page spread or you can open it out to view multiple/all pages. The purpose for this is to use the theme of 'freize' which allows the pages to be continous and for you to view the decorative border.
All of the patterns generated within Fregi are various Bodoni Ornaments which I have made into patterns.
