I designed the Pivot Power for Quirky as their flagship product. It went on to win a Red Dot Design Award. The company's online community surfaced the issue of power-strip inefficiency in not being able to actually use all 6 outlets with bulkier plugs. As project lead I created a range of design concepts to solve this problem, and created prototypes as proof of concept. We refined the design and engineered the final product, then I worked with overseas factories to get the product manufactured.
Original concept sketches looking into the different ways a consumer could interact with their power strip in order to fit bulky power bricks. Sketches were posted to Quirky's website for community feedback.
