Tasneem Khan's profile

A Centre for Island Ecology

During my time as the field station director of ANET, it was my intent and dream to extend information and conservation beyond the community of scholars.
To create opportunities for dynamic interplay between scientists, travellers, local stakeholders, students, the state administration, anthropologists, artists, natural resource managers, policy makers and citizens.

Dealing with dramatic and global environmental change is the challenge of our generation. Biological field stations place scientists on the frontlines of understanding this change.

Yet, as Vladimir Nabokov says, “There is no science without fancy and no art without fact.”

The vision of an interdisciplinary Centre for Island Ecology serves to inspire, motivate, and engage – Providing innovative new perspectives.

Vision has been described by Manasse (1986) as "the force, which molds meaning for the people of an organization."
an report, a study, documentation; who you reach and what is gained, is about how the story is told ...
