WAR HORSE
Entries to the 2015 Folio Society’s Annual Book Illustration Competition WAR HORSE, hosted by House of Illustration.
I. “Ive done a few sketches of you now," he said one evening, "and when Ive finished this one I'll be ready to paint a picture of you."
II. “Emilie was a special child for us, for she spent every minute she could with us and lavished us with her affection."
III. “It was as I staggered out of one such crater that I lumbered into an invisible coil of barbed wire that first snagged and then trapped my foreleg."
