Artist book designed for architect David Adjaye. Inspired by David Adjaye’s meditative use of light and shadow, I emulated a similar experience for readers. Through the use of transparent paper as chapter dividers, readers experience the movement of shadows casted by typography as they turn the pages. The shadows also differ based on the type of lighting being cast in the space that the book is viewed in.
