Born To Buy
This project I wanted to take a satirical look at consumer culture. I wanted to make people think about what they buy using pop culture quotes and a personal style of drawing and presentation. I ended up creating a hand bound book using parcel paper with hand drawn illustrations that depicted my message. The illustrations use a continuations line that connects the whole book together from page to page. With a leather bind and the choice of paper stock and style of illustrations, it creates a very personal feel to the book. Something users can interact with in their hands and maybe keep as a keepsake.
