Aura Light Therapy Devices

Aura
Arthritis is the number one cause of disability; the autoimmune disease affects over 50 million people worldwide. 1 in 5 adults and over 300,000 children are living with arthritis. Every year millions of people are diagnosed with either of the two types of arthritis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Infrared light has been used as a source of light therapy for many medical conditions, none yet have created a wearable device that promotes healing and high fashion. Taking the simplicity aspect from medical devices, this bracelet aims to incorporate modern fashion trends to make users feel less self conscious about living with arthritis.
Osteoarthritis happens when the cartilage on the ends of the bones wears away, then the bare bones rub together, and cause inflammation, which then causes moderate to severe pain. Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic disease that attacks multiple joints in the affected person’s body, most commonly in their hands and wrists. The most common symptoms that a person with either type of arthritis can experience are: pain during or after movement, joints feeling tender when pressure is applied, stiffness due to lack of movement, loss of flexibility, feeling or hearing a grating noise or sensation, and bone spurs which form around the joint.
Aura can aid those with Arthritis in a simple, easy to use, the 7 infrared LEDs increase nitric acid and blood flow, decreasing inflammation and pain. The other LEDs are for a glowing effect because infrared light isn’t in human’s visible spectrum, therefore the user will know when the lights are on, if the device turns on then the infrared LEDs are working.

Aura travels with the user where ever they go, meaning reliable pain relief. The user can turn on the switch and in half an hour to an hour, blood flow is increased by over 200%.

Most infrared LED light therapy devices have red LEDs, but this bracelet encourages beauty, simplicity, and privacy. People with arthritis do not have to be ashamed of it, in fact they should embrace the fact that pain relief could be an easy hour away.

The use of LEDs will not add to the CO2 footprint because most of the LED is natural, not to mention they last at least double the amount of time that a CFL bulb would. Since they are smaller than your average light bulb they use less material, therefore being more eco-friendly.

Aura will change the way people suffering with arthritis live their lives by the flick of a switch.
