By looking at the observable phenomena of lava flows, I was inspired by the oozing power that defines the flow. Easily overtaking any landscape transforming it to a craggy and luminous surface.  By silk screen printing repeating patterns I was able to create two distinct surfaces, one of the hot lava flow and the other of rocky surface. 
The ideal installation would have been along the Providence River, the colors of the factory accentuating the tones of work.
