As a part of the Student Team for Alumni Relations (STAR), at my college, University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, we were looking for various channels of engagement for alumni. One such avenue was the annual Alumni Magazine called Nest.
Nest signified the interest we showed in bringing alumni back to their alma-mater to engage and inspire them to reconnect with the institute, students and within their alumni network.
Nest contained all the activities from the Alumni Affairs Office and the college itself. It was successful in bringing t a sense of nostalgia to the alumni.
The magazine served two purposes:
- It helped to keep alumni informed about the various initiatives run by the student team and the college
- Also it helped us reach out to more of our alumni network and tell them how to get involved
