Redesign concept for the Maryland Institute College of Art's alumni magazine. While the current magazine, Juxtapositions, is informative it does not accurately reflect the calibre of art and design at MICA. As well as redesigning and restructuring the magazine, I also renamed it 1826, the year the school was founded. MICA is the oldest art college in America, this is an important part of its history. This wordmark paired with vibrant colors and sans serif type, reflect the fusion of old and new, an integral part of MICA.

While designing 1826, I wanted to reflect MICA's design aesthetic, culture and energy. The magazine lends itself to being quickly browsed as well as providing immersive articles with exciting content and images.
