This is a set of chairs.  They are big enough to use as a single seat, but mirrored so the set can form a couch.  These are rough prototypes being used to test dimensions and ergonomics.  Unupholstered, we used cushions, blankets and pillows to fill it out.  It was actually quite comfortable, though it needed to be made slightly larger.

Here is a single unit.  Just screwed together, I wanted to check that all pieces fit together right off the CNC machine.  The open cavity was supposed to have doors (seen sitting on the side to the left), but they didn't quite work for this iteration.

The cats like the open cavities below the seats.

In one configuration the two seats make a couch (like in the last picture) but they can also be faced towards each other to make a day bed.  This is quite a way to lounge, but is a little short to really lay out.  An undated version has an ottoman that can be placed in the middle as a spacer that make this about full bed size.
