Oversea, Ocean Conservancy Rebranding

“Oversea” is a rebranding proposal for Ocean Conservancy, a nonprofit environmental advocacy group that aims to protect wildlife in the ocean.

Our goal is to create a brand identity as well as a campaign that will speak for the organization, encouraging people to take care of the ocean as ocean is a huge part of our health and our lives.
Oversea website is kept for information about the ocean, the causes, events and everything else that Oversea is looking after.

The forms and structures are being kept to their minimalist of cleaness. Everything is based on the round shape of the logo. Once your cursor is pointing at a vector, the image turns into a preview of the information if the audience were to actually click.

Campaign
The Oversea Aquarium.

Upon entering the aquarium, each visitor will be giving a card. These cards are the ones with sihouette if a species. The visitor will be challanged to find their species on their given cards.

There are different table set up for this activity distributed throughout the museum to make sure that everyone is able to participate conveniently, even though they might be far apart from one another, so that people will not have to wait in line.
Through this activity, the audience will be able to learn more about a specific species that belongs to the marine wildlife. The audience will start to get intimate with the species through the act of actually naming their own “friend.”

The questions section will provide an open space for the audiences to use their own knowledges and curiosities to determine the answers to each question. The responses provided are based on the information of the specific species and there are never a set amount of right or wrong answer per each questions. This is another way to give general knowledge to the audiences.

In the middle of the activity, the audience will suddenly be interrupted by a message that indicates a problem. Those are such as the audience’s friend getting wrapped with plastic bag, or got stucked in an oil spill. The audiences will be invited to safe their friends. Leaded to the next section of the activity, the audiences will get to unwrap plastic or wash the oil out of their friends.

At the end, they will be encourage to keep the ocean clean, so the various species will not be affected by such trageties as their friends were going through. There will be no human to unwrap the plastic or to wash off oil stains. Therefore, we  should altogether oversee the ocean, keeps the ocean clean for the species and for our own.

thank you.
