For this project we are asked to find a written piece that we can add meaning to by designing an experimental format, i chose the poem The voice of the rain by Walt Whitman. This poem is in essence about the water cycle and how rain creates life, so i decided to make a book that could grow and required water to do so, i created a cover that had seeds embedded into it and the case is designed as a propagator that is used to protect the book while stored and to grow the seedlings in also.The book includes water colour patterens on the end pages to show rain and growth and diagrams of the water cycle and how to grow the book, the book has been made in blues and greys to create a rainy feel.
