Acceptable Loss

I want to begin by stating that I am in no way affiliated with Microsoft, Activision, or any other companies mentioned or inferred in this project. This was a school-based project meant to expose and reflect upon the growing violence in video games, primarily first-person shooters. This is a mock game and I have made no money from this.

Acceptable Loss: "Also known as “acceptable damage”, is a military euphemism used to indicate casualties or destruction inflicted by the enemy that is considered minor or tolerable."

To all appearances, this is meant to look like another FPS game. The booklet starts off explaining the game like any other, but slowly escalates until it's blatantly obvious what the message actually is. The images include a mixture of both real and constructed game environments as well as famous pictures of war. This project is a form of self-reflection and the evolution of violence allowed in games. It explores where the line should be drawn, or if there is one at all.
