Dixie State Dance Concert

This was my first project with the dance department.
The dance director was very particular about this design, everything had to be exactly like the original dance.
We couldn't find the right fabric and the right pattern, so we painted the floral designs on these blouses, as well as the stripes on the green pants.
The dance director was very adamant that there should be no arms eye seams, and it took awhile for me to figure out the best way to pattern that.  The top was cut from one piece of fabric, and they turned out beautiful.
I made and tied all of the frog closures.
Creating the costumes for this show was challenging and very rewarding.  I learned a lot about proper fit of clothing for dancers, and patterning for proper movement and design elements was very interesting.  The final product was exactly what the dance director wanted.
