Bas-Reliefs for American Museum of Natural History

Bas-Relief Series for American Museum of Natural History
Models sculpted for cladogram wall
This project was done for the Fossil Hall renovation.  Models were sculpted as bas-reliefs, meaning most models were no deeper than 3 inches.  The three-dimensional look of the animals was accomplished by sculpting models with a forced perspective.  All models were sculpted in clay and then molded, cast in polyester resin, and realistically painted with artist oils.

Styracosaurus, 14"
Rutiodon, 5"
