'FF DIN Condensed Regular' a sans-serif font was chosen and some vinyl was smashed into peices. I placed the broken bits of vinyl across a printed display spelling out 'MUSIC'. The following was the result:
The characters in the image above were brought into Photoshop and altered accordingly, masking each character over a plain background. The hue was increased to add some slight colour tones over the sheen blackness of the vinyl.
'Angelina' a script typeface was chosen for the above image, which shows a template for the following experimental type:
Chocolate buttons were broken up and place over the 'Angelina' typeface template.
Further experimentation with the chocolate by melting and pouring carefully into 'Angelina' template.
Further experimentation with the 'Angelina' typeface by removing the template and allowing to smudge.
'Bebas Neue' typeface was chosen to work with, above you can see the templates that I made for each character spelling the word 'SLIDE'.
Above shows the final image after experimenting with light shone beneath each individul character. Old photo slides were place above the 'Bebas Neue' typeface in order to maintain the integrity of the typeface. After experimenting with different levels of light I decided to display the word 'SLIDE' with alternating brightness of each letterfrom within the word. I.e The 'S','I' and 'E' are of lighter prominence than the 'L' and 'D' letterforms.
The following are additional experimental types for the project with no particular typeface in mind and are just my own formation of letterforms. In order, the materials used were: 1st - Vegatables, 2nd - Broken Vinyl and 3rd - Chilli Flakes.
Found letter forms.
