A Mother's Love School Assignment done in Advanced Drawing class in my 4th year of study.It was my first time experimenting with watercolor. I tried to manipulate the softness and airiness of watercolor to illustrate the serenity and warmth of a tiger and her cub's time together.

Gaze

Done right after 'A Mother's Love', I was fascinated with tigers after researching so much about their poses and I was drawn to an image of a tiger looking into the distance, hence I came up with the idea of trying to capture the essence of this beast looking up with a curious stare after taking a drink from a pool. I chose cool colors like purple and blue to accentuate the aloof nature and beauty of tigers. It also adds an ethereal feel to the whole painting.

Watercolour painting of an imaginary world based inspired by a photo reference of Niagara Falls.
A watercolor experiment in trying to combine different photographs of real-life references such as shophouses, Niagara Falls and trees in a fantasy setting. I chose vibrant colors and mixed them together to bring out the whimsicality of this painting.

Transience
The final assignment for Figurative Painting class in Year 3. Assignment brief was to do a self-portrait in a creative style with underlying theme. The painting explores themes about death and the transience of life.
