There are my tableware collection for the sophomore metalsmithing class drawing inspirations from the dining experience of eating alone. I created these tablewares to reflect on this dining occasion that does not necessarily have to be sad, but has the potential of being extremely meaningful.
This set includes: a shabu-shabu pot, a sake bottle that is used to serve hot liqiour, a drinking piece that serves the purpose of a shot glass, a pair of chopsticks, a chopstick rest, and a ramen spoon. They are all handforged with copper and some of them have been surfaced treated with liver of sulfur. The settings for them are made out of plywood and cork.
